The royal city of India is a traveller’s
paradise. Beautiful hilltop forts, bargain-filled bazaars, and turban-clad
localities are some of the attractions here. Jaipur being the gateway to the
deserts of Rajasthan is quite hot during the day. Evenings are the best time to
roam around the city. As the sun is about to set, at dusk, the city comes under
a cool spell and a relaxed atmosphere sets it. Our favourite way to reach here
is by air and cheap air tickets to Jaipur are available round the year. Just hop into one of these budget
airlines and discover this historic city. There is a lot to see and do here and
if you are on trip to Jaipur, make sure
you check out these locations -
Hawa Mahal
This five storey structure looks like a beehive with its 953 small windows. The palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. It is a perfect example of Rajput architecture and is a sight to behold. It was constructed to provide the royal Rajput women folks a view to the outside world as they were not allowed to appear in public. From here you can easily enjoy the breathtaking view of the city.

Overlooking the Maota Lake, the Amber Fort
rests upon the Aravalli range of hills and provides a breath-taking view of the
city. It’s one of the most visited sites in Jaipur and receives almost 5000
