Jaipur, the royal city of India

The royal city of India is a traveller’s paradise. Beautiful hilltop forts, bargain-filled bazaars, and turban-clad localities are some of the attractions here. Jaipur being the gateway to the deserts of Rajasthan is quite hot during the day. Evenings are the best time to roam around the city. As the sun is about to set, at dusk, the city comes under a cool spell and a relaxed atmosphere sets it. Our favourite way to reach here is by air and cheap air tickets to Jaipur are available round the year. Just hop into one of these budget airlines and discover this historic city. There is a lot to see and do here and if you are on trip to Jaipur, make sure you check out these locations -

Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal

This five storey structure looks like a beehive with its 953 small windows. The palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year 1799. It is a perfect example of Rajput architecture and is a sight to behold. It was constructed to provide the royal Rajput women folks a view to the outside world as they were not allowed to appear in public. From here you can easily enjoy the breathtaking view of the city.

Amber Fort

Overlooking the Maota Lake, the Amber Fort rests upon the Aravalli range of hills and provides a breath-taking view of the city. It’s one of the most visited sites in Jaipur and receives almost 5000 visitors per day. A trip to Jaipur will be incomplete without going here.

Nahargarh Fort

How often do you come across a place which completely blows you off with its beauty? The Nahargarh fort, situated on the edges of the Aravalli Hills is one such place. Popular Bollywood films like Rang de Basanti were shot here and it’s a major tourist spot in Jaipur. From here, you can enjoy a view like no other. The beautiful expanse of land that spreads out below is incredibly breath-taking. A visit here will be totally worth your time.

To enjoy all these places, you’ll have to spend a considerable amount of time in this city. It’s best if you board a flight to Jaipur instead of travelling by road. This way you can reduce your travel time and spend more time exploring the city. Low airfare tickets to Jaipur is readily available all round the year. Booking a complete travel package to Jaipur is an even better idea.
